Dr Ruxandra (Andra) Ion trained and practiced in London since March 1997.
She worked for SW London and St George’s MH Trust since 2002, including in the National Services for OCD and BDD at Springfield University Hospital London (2007-2016) practicing as psychiatrist and psychotherapist.
She currently works in forensic psychiatry at St Magnus Hospital in Surrey.
She is medically qualified and has a BSc in Psychology from Birkbeck College – University of London, and an MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy from the Metropolitan University, London.
She has full accreditation as CBT psychotherapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) and is accredited Associate Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and General Medical Council UK. She is approved clinician with AXA insurance.
She is very experienced in treating all Anxiety Disorders, particularly Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Phobias, Depression, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as well as providing behavioural treatment for Developmental and Psychotic disorders in adults.
She is also experienced in providing psychiatric and risk assessments.
