Dr Hina Agha is an experienced consultant adult psychiatrist with specialist training in the rehabilitation of chronic and enduring mental health conditions. Her areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, the diagnosis and treatment of depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and adult ADHD.
Dr Agha began her medical career with her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery qualification from the Khyber Medical College, Pakistan in 1991. After this, she moved to the UK to pursue her career in psychiatry. Dr Agha’s psychiatric training took shape in South London and Maudsley (London Deanery) and the Kent, Surrey, and Sussex Deanery. After completing her MRCPsych degree in 2012 and therefore becoming a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, she then underwent a master’s in Psychiatric Research from the renowned King’s College London.
When not treating her private patients at LycaHealth Canary Wharf and at LycaHealth Orpington, Dr Agha works as a substantive consultant as part of the Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.
Since 2013, Dr Agha has been working as a consultant but her career has also involved the teaching, training, and supervision of future psychiatrists. Her enjoyment and dedication to teaching within the field of psychiatry have led her to become an honorary lecturer at King’s College London and the Firm Head for third-year medical students.
